Step one: the intention. Stand facing the qibla, and make the intention in your heart for the prayer you are about to pray.
- 0:17Opening takbir
Step two: the opening takbir. Raise both hands up to your shoulders, and say the takbir.
- 0:24Folding the hands
Step three: place your hands on your chest, the right hand over the left.
- 0:31Thana
Step four: quietly recite the Thana, shown on the screen.
- 0:40Ta'awwudh and Bismillah
Step five: quietly seek refuge with Allah, and say the Bismillah.
- 0:48Al-Fatiha and Ameen
Step six: recite Surah Al-Fatiha, then say Ameen quietly. Behind an imam, stay silent and listen.

Step seven: after Al-Fatiha, recite a surah or a few verses, for example Surah Al-Ikhlas.
- 1:07Ruku'
Step eight: ruku. Say the takbir, and bow until your hands reach your knees, keeping your arms close to your body. Then say the tasbih of ruku three times.

Step nine: stand up straight again, and say the words shown on the screen.
- 1:32Sajdah
Step ten: sajdah. Say the takbir, and go down into sajdah: forehead and nose, both palms, both knees and the toes on the ground. Girls and women keep their arms close to the body. Then say the tasbih three times.
- 1:55Sitting between the sajdahs
Step eleven: say the takbir, and sit calmly for a moment. Then say the takbir again, and make the second sajdah in the same way.
- 2:05Second rak‘ah
Step twelve: stand up for the second rak'ah, and pray it just like the first one, without the Thana.
- 2:16Sitting and Tashahhud
Step thirteen: after two rak'ahs, sit with both feet out to the right, and recite the Tashahhud. Raise your right index finger at the words shown on the screen, then lower it.
- 2:30Third and fourth rak‘ah
Step fourteen: in a prayer of three or four rak'ahs, you would stand up here, and recite only Al-Fatiha in the remaining rak'ahs. Fajr has two, so we continue.
- 2:44Last sitting
Step fifteen: in the last sitting, recite the Tashahhud, then the Durood Ibrahim, and then a dua.
- 2:55Salam
Step sixteen: turn your face to the right, and say the salam. Then turn to the left, and say it again.
- 3:04After the prayer
Step seventeen: after the prayer, seek forgiveness three times, then recite the tasbih.
